Santa's Pick Me Up

Everyone needs a little pick me up every now and then, including Santa Claus.  That's why Ms. Claus created a very special mix that she has been packing in Santa's sack for many, many years.  It's called Santa's Pick Me Up.  It's Santa all time favorite get going snack and Ms. Claus has decided share her very special recipe with the rest of the world and the most adorable poem that the elves created about Santa's very special snack.  Here is how is goes...

Santa flying in his sleigh
On busy Christmas Day
He is tired from his work
That his head begins to jerk
He reaches for a sugar snack
That Ms. Claus packed in his sack
Now he is up and ready to go
So he can spread his cheer, Ho Ho Ho!!

So what's the special recipe?  Caramel Corn, Peanuts and White Chocolate Covered Pretzel Balls.

Try some of Santa's Pick Me Up today, it just may give you a little boost too!

Embellish Magazine, Background Stamping Challenge

As soon as SayDie saw this challenge, we had to jump on it!  Gray is the new neutral for fall and the yellow color combination is the perfect compliment to the fabulous color.  This challenge is geared towards background stamping and this truly was a challenge.  We used a damask stamp to stamp the background onto black cardstock with Versamark ink and embossed with clear embossing powder.  The idea was to go with simplicity, something not overwhelming or extremely busy.  The simple single rose was stamped in StazOn and we paper pieced the rose in yellow on the stamped rose that had been stamped onto white cardstock.  Hope you enjoy the card.  Just a reminder, if you stop by, please comment, we love to read feedback from visitors; and if you like what you see, please become a follower.  Thanks!!

Embellish Magazine, Babies Color Challenge

Well, SayDie is at it again!  We had so much fun participating in the previous Embellish Magazine Challenge, that we decided to go for it again.  This challenge is all about babies; celebrating the birth of a new life.  SayDie is all too familiar with being moms, especially since both parts of SayDie are fairly new moms (Dru, 2 and Miles, 1).  So, we were super excited to create a very special card for a very special occasion.  The adorable little ducky was stamped on patterned dot paper and we used pop dots to raise off the page.  The dot stamp in the background was created with an adhesive stamp pad and Martha Stewart's ultrafine glitter.  Hope you enjoy the card and please, leave a comment.  Thanks!!

Embellish Magazine, Labels Color Challenge

Well, it's been a very long time since SayDie has participated in an online challenge and we are excited!  This is our very first participation in one of the Embellish Magazine challenges.  We used Papertrey Ink's In Bloom stamp to create the beautiful focal flower and Copic markers to color it in.  Also, this was our very first time using Copics.  I know, how exciting, two first in one blog post, you totally can't beat that!  The metal dream label was purchased some time ago at Michael's and was in the stash, so we decided to go with it.  We hand punched circles to create the scalloped edge that you see underneath the ribbon.  Very simple card, but purposeful, especially since it's around graduation time.  Hope you like the card, and please, let us know what you think.  Also, check us out on Facebook, we would love to have some friends and followers on our blog.  Have a Happy Thursday.

Cystal W.'s Bridal Shower-April 25, 2010

About a month ago, SayDie had the pleasure of hosting a baby shower for a wonderful client. There were about 25 guests to attend and the mommy-to-be wanted to go with a brown and pink theme to match her new nursery. She was also very passionate about butterflies. So we handmade A LOT of butterflies, monarchs, swallowtails and more. Here is a copy of the thank you note that the mommy-to-be sent to SayDie.

"I wanted to take some time out to thank you and your sister for all the time, effort and hard work that you all put in to making my baby shower fantastic! It was so beautiful! I pray that God continue to bless your families and give you all that your heart desires. I pray that your business will be blessed and prosperous. I definitely will highly recommend SayDie to everyone I know who needs your services...Thanks so much "

Crystal W.

...Another Woman's Treasure

I absolutely LOVE Starbucks Vanilla Frappuccinos! And every time I drink one, I make sure to save the bottle, because they make such a great and quick gift that I can decorate and give to a loved one. This is a larger frap bottle that I saved, and cleaned up, using some Goo Gone and decorated for a child's birthday. The colors are really bright and the button accent on the tag, that I cut out with my Cricut, helps to make the buttons on the border really pop. I wanted to keep this really bright and colorful for the little one that would receive this. If you haven't tried the Starbucks Frappuccinos, you really should. They come in 3 different flavors, and 2 different sizes; and the bonus, you get to recycle the bottle! I did make this recycled frap bottle for a challenge on a blog I just discovered, Stay Away With Me. Dawn's, the blog administrator, most recent challenge is to use an item that would normally be thrown in the trash and basically, make it fabuous, and this little bottle is my take on the challenge. Well, time to get to the grocery store. Have a great day.

All Things Grow With Love...

This card is made using the Mojo Monday Sketch #121. This is the sketch from last week and I knew instantly that I wanted to create a card, but was stumped about what direction I wanted to go with the card. Well, I was checked out one of my favorite blogs,These Are A Few of My Favorite Things, and Dawn had posted a video of how to make these poofy button flowers, so I decided to try and I LOVE the outcome. My husband is a clarinetist and had some old sheet music that he didn't need anymore and I punched out the 2" scallop and the flower that's on the front of the card is the outcome. Totally cute! Since it's so close to Valentine's Day, I wanted to make card that would have a "love" theme, but not use the traditional Valentine's colors. What do you think? Well, that's all for now, I should start getting ready for work.

Supplies:
Paper: kraft cardstock, cream cardstock, Core'dinations cardstock, DCWV patterned paper (Latte Stack)
Ink: StazOn (jet black), Stampabilities (brown), Memories Dye (chestnut)
Stamps: Flourish (Inkadinkado-Dot Flourishes), Sentiment- I can't remember :)
Ribbon: red grosgrain (JoAnn's)
Handmade Embellishment: Vintage Sheet Music, button, twine

Holiday 'Lollis

SayDie has been doing a lot crafting lately, trying to prepare for the next major holiday, Valentine's Day. Today, I made these matchbook lollipop covers with cherry flavored lollipops,YUM! These were very easy and quick to make and can be produced in large masses. I really love how the Love sentiment on the front just pops right off the front. If you have any questions about how I made these, please let me know, I will do my best to create a tutorial. Have a great day!
